I am all about child-led, play-based teaching for our youngest learners. 

I have had many roles in the early childhood realm over the last 30 years and I know that through play, children engage in the most comprehensive approach to learning that encompasses cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.

​

My passion will always be caring for children but I am excited to jump into the world of training and coaching!  

​

It is my goal to help providers in their play journey.  To help them break free from the constraints of the factory model of education and unrealistic educational pushdown from higher ups.  I want to give provider the confidence to trust that they know what is best for the children they care for, that children have unique interests, strengths, and ways of learning and allow them to take the reins in their own learning and unlock their potential.  I want to help providers create an environment that unleashes a realm of wonder, exploration and child-led discovery.  I want to inspire and empower providers to rush less and play more!  - Angie​

In-Person First Aid & CPR/AED

The HSI First Aid & CPR/AED course provides comprehensive training in essential life-saving skills, empowering participants to respond effectively to a variety of medical emergencies. This course combines first aid knowledge with CPR and AED training to prepare participants to assist in situations ranging from minor injuries to life-threatening conditions.

 

Key Topics Covered:

- Basic first aid principles and scene assessment
- Responding to common injuries (e.g., bleeding, burns, fractures)
- Managing medical emergencies (e.g., strokes, heart attacks, seizures)
- Adult, child, and infant CPR techniques
- Proper use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
- Choking relief procedures

Who Should Attend?

This course is ideal for workplace responders, educators, childcare providers, community members, and anyone seeking to gain confidence and skills in emergency care. No prior experience is required.


Certification: Upon successful completion, participants will receive an HSI First Aid & CPR/AED certification, valid for two years.


Duration: 4 hours

Blended First Aid & CPR/AED

The blended HSI First Aid & CPR/AED course combines the convenience of online learning with the hands-on practice of an in-person skills session. This comprehensive training equips participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively respond to medical emergencies, including performing CPR, using an AED, and providing first aid for common injuries and illnesses.

 

Key Features:

Online Portion: Self-paced learning covering essential first aid, CPR, and AED skills through interactive videos and quizzes.

 

Skills Session: In-person, hands-on practice and evaluation with a certified instructor to demonstrate proficiency in life-saving techniques.

Key Topics Covered:

- Adult, child, and infant CPR
- Automated external defibrillator (AED) use
- First aid for common injuries and medical emergencies
- Scene safety and emergency response principles

Who Should Enroll?
