Oh Happy Day Parent Contract

Hours of Operation

Oh Happy Day Childcare will operate Monday thru Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Payment

Child Care Payment of $225.00 will be paid on the Monday morning of each week.

If child is absent or Oh Happy Day is closed payment is still due on Monday.  If payment is not made a late fee will be added.

Fees – Payments – Taxes

You are paying for your position/spot at Oh Happy Day. You will pay for a total of 50 weeks at $225 per week.  If you choose not to use your 1-week vacation, you will pay for 51 weeks.  This includes all provider’s personal days.  If the provider uses more than her 15 paid days your weekly payment will be adjusted accordingly.  If your child is gone for any reason the parent is still responsible to pay for the full week of care, this includes illness, emergencies, weather issues, etc.

Weekly Fee - 2.5 to School Age - $225.00 per week - $45 per day

Payment is due on the Monday morning for the current week of care through Venmo.

Overtime/Late Fee

Overtime is considered any time outside the contracted time interval. I’m under no obligation to provide an extension time. Late arrival does not justify late departure.

If child is not picked up by 5:30 there will be an automatic $10.00 late fee. There will be a $10.00 fee added for every 5 minutes past 5:30.

Late Payment

$10.00 per day that payment is not received.  If fee is not paid by Monday morning of the next week, your child will not be cared for until the outstanding balance is paid, or arrangements have been made.  Continued late payments will result in termination of our contract.

Tuition Deposit/Registration Fee

This fee is based on one week’s full tuition and payment is required at registration. Current rate is $225.00.  The fee will be applied to your last two weeks of care at Oh Happy Day Childcare.

Taxes

Oh Happy Day will supply a year-end summary of all childcare fees paid during the year for tax purposes.

Provider Paid Personal/Professional Days/Vacation Days

The following holidays will be observed with pay:

Memorial Day

4th Of July

Labor Day

Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after

Christmas Break – Starting the day before Christmas to January 1st

If any of these days fall on the weekend the following Monday or Friday will be taken off.

Provider will have 15 paid personal/professional days calendar year.  All attempts will be made to give a 6 week notice when personal/professional time is being taken, but sick days and emergencies may happen, and you will need to have a backup plan.

A calendar will be given out at the beginning of January with all the holidays and scheduled time off.

Child Absences for Illness or Personal Reasons

If your child will be gone for illness or personal reasons the parents are still responsible to pay for the agreed amount for the week in full.  There will be no adjustment to your fee due to absences your child may have.

Child Vacation

Each family will be offered 1 week of vacation (5 days total) after 6 months in care.

A two-week notice in advance is required.  This can’t be used during provider’s vacation/personal time or paid holidays.

Snow Policy

I will remain open during snow days.  I will let parents know the conditions of the roads in my neighborhood and leave it up to their judgment if it is safe for them to drive.  I will do my best to have driveway and sidewalks cleaned and salted, but if the weather starts during working hours the children’s care is my first priority.  If you are planning on keeping your child home during inclement weather, please notify me as soon as possible.  Parents are still responsible to pay for the agreed amount for the week in full.  There will be no adjustments to your fee due to absences your child may have.

Child Withdrawal

If you choose to remove your child from our care, a minimum notice of two weeks must be given in writing.  I will expect to be paid for those two weeks even if you choose for your child not to attend.

Child Discharge/Termination

It may be necessary to give notice to a parent/guardian to stop caring for a child.  I will give the parent/guardian two-week notice prior to ceasing care.  In rare cases of severe problems, I may be forced to release the child from care without giving a two-week notice.  Care may be terminated for the following reasons:

  • Child is unhappy and unable to become comfortable in the childcare setting.

  • Child consistently physically or verbally hurts other children.

  • Parent/Guardian routinely abuses drop-off or pick-up times.

  • Parent/Guardian doesn’t pay childcare fees on time.

  • Failure to complete required forms, as required

  • Physical or verbal abuse of any person or property by a child and/or parent that is not corrected by an improvement plan set by the director and the parents.

  • Lack of compliance with handbook regulations

  • False information given by parent either verbally or in writing

  • Parent/Guardian does not work with the childcare provider as a team to provide consistent guidance and discipline.

Damage to Property

A certain amount of “wear and tear” is normal, but if your child intentionally damages our property through destructive behavior or roughness, the parents/guardians will be liable for 100% of the replacement costs. This reimbursement is due with your next monthly payment.
